For all froyo lovers, like me, this is a good news! The Froyo craze has come and gone but one or two stores remained. I'm a big froyo fan so the news of another big player in the froyo industry is nothing but something to be giddy about!

llaollao, pronounced as "yao yao", is the no. 1 Frozen Yogurt brand from Europe with about 100 shops in Spain alone. It has expanded to Asia with it's biggest market in SG. FooDee Global Concepts, owner of Todd English Food Hall, Tim Ho Wan and Pound, among others, has brought llaollao to our local market. With the promise of nothing but natural and gluten free frozen yogurt, it's guaranteed that this will be a guilt free and healthy treat!

From Europe to US to ASIA - llaollao has finally landed in Manila!

Officially opening it's doors to the public TODAY, July 15th, I was able to try it out yesterday during their press launch. Located in Glorietta 2 and Mall of Asia, they simultaneously opened both branches!

Their frozen yogurt comes in three sizes, small - medium - large, and it's up to you to choose the topping/s that you want. If you're the type who would want just a small serving without any topping/s, you can also get their Petitllao for only 39Php! Add a topping to this for only 30Php.

Aside from their frozen yogurt, they also have other items in their menu.

Sanum is their best seller made with layers of toppings and frozen yogurt, more like a parfait.

Smoothies combine fresh fruits with frozen yogurt by blending them together until a smooth creamy drink is achieved. You can also opt to build your own by selecting 2 fruits x 2 sauces with the frozen yogurt.

Sensations is a fresh fruit slush (orange or watermelon) or yogurt slush, topped with frozen yogurt, your choice of sauce and fruit.

Granillao is the simplest in their drink menu. It's basically a slush of fresh fruit (either lemon, orange or watermelon) or yogurt.

I got to try their well recommended and best selling cup - Sanum. Froyo x 3 fruits x 2 crunches x 1 sauce.

You can choose from 8 varieties of crunches: muesli with chocolate, crushed Filipino white chocolate biscuit, crushed Lotus caramelized biscuits, crushed Oreo, Smarties, candied almonds, almond crocanti and white chocolate balls. I went for Lotus caramelized biscuits and almond crocanti (which is basically almond brittle chopped into small pieces).

They also have 8 varieties of fruits to choose from: dragon fruit, melon, kiwi, pineapple, strawberry, mango, grapes and watermelon. I got strawberry, dragon fruit and mango.

Lastly, they have 8 varieties of sauces too: fruit of the forest, mango sauce, black chocolate, Nocilla (which is a hazelnut spread, like Nutella), chocorock sauce, creamy caramel, white chocolate and Lotus caramelized biscuit sauce. I got black/dark chocolate. Gah! Lots of options!

The froyo itself was tart and not too sweet which went well with the sweet toppings. It was not the super creamy type but I'll take it! Loved the fresh fruits and I hope they'll occasionally change their selection. With the toppings and all, the calorie count will surely rise so you also have the option to just get their plain frozen yogurt!
