Everything Green Tea - Bread Talk's Green Tea and Chocolate Cake

The Green Tea goodies search is on. While finishing my Green Tea Cookies by Den entry yesterday, I remembered that Bread Talk has a green tea cake on their list. Since we were headed to Glorietta, I decided to give the cake a try.

Looking at the glass stand of Bread Talk, their Green Tea cake stands out among the other displays. Shying away from the usual brown or white colored cakes, the cake stands green and proud! I can't help but notice it's moss green-covered top with cherries, Macaroon de Paris and some chocolate swirls (sorry, I was not able to take a picture of the whole cake ='< ).

Bread Talk's Green Tea and Chocolate Cake - a slice for 68php and whole cake for 680php
I got myself just a slice because I was sure that I won't be able to finish the entire cake. Three layers of sponge (chocolate cake sandwiched between two green tea cakes) with each layer smothered with cream, this cake delivers as promised! The combination of the subtle flavor of green tea and not-so sweet cream gave this treat a knock out refreshing taste! The cake also has red beans enveloped into the cream and lavished into the chocolate layer. This gave the cake a more oriental feel to which appealed well with my hubby.

Now, I'm more excited in sampling other green tea treats!
