Peanut Butter Company - PB Co.

Hubby and I are diehard fans of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and would once in a while get a dose of these sweeties just to feel good. Recently, I've heard about a resto that is surely a peanut butter haven -- Peanut Butter Company. I told hubby about it and luckily, he has already seen one in a very familiar place -- Paseo Center. Since we've been frequenting Makati of recent, we decided to go and visit the place.

The store space is a bit small, but is well-lit and has a base of white paint -- giving it an overall clean feel. There were pictures of sumptuous food masterpieces plastered in every available wall space making you ogle and salivate for the wanton to try everything. Inside, it was kept simple which I think is just the right way to go.

PB Burger Sandwich for 185php

Classified as an "All Time Favorite" in their menu, this Joe surely is not your average. Made from a rich beef burger patty with nice, fresh tomatoes and the usual green, leafy lettuce known in a soft burger bun, generously smeared with PB Co. Sesame Peanut Butter and finished off with peanut cucumber mayo. It is surely something out of the usual but if you like peanut butter and burger, this'll be a sure hit!

Elvis the King Sandwich - Half for 85php & Whole for 155php

Peanut butter with banana is a favorite childhood mix, but a sandwich has always been an odd plate. Still a sure winner when it comes to taste, PB Co. surely knows how to market their stuff by adding in another all time favorite to the combo -- bacon! Hubby's childhood memories come back as both of his loved favorites are mashed into this creation. This sandwich is made from pan-grilled bread, generously spread with PB Co's Country Peanut Butter and layered with thinly sliced bananas and bacon strips. It will bring out the kid in you!

Green Tea Vanilla Sandwich - Half for 75php & Whole for 135php

Very much surprised to see this in their menu, since I am in a never ending hunt for anything that's green tea, I never gave a second thought in trying this out. Made from pan-grilled bread, with munificent layer of PB Co's Green Tea Peanut Butter, Vanilla Cream Cheese and some Rice Crispies. This piece is love at first taste!

Chicken Curry n' Rice for 165php

Hubby is currently in the munchies for chicken curry. When he saw this dish in the menu, he automatically ordered for it. Made up from a creamy white sauce embracing some chicken chunks, carrots and potatoes with PB Co's Curry Peanut Butter, this dish truly boasts of curry power! One thing notable though  is that the peanut butter taste has been overpowered with the curry flavor leaving no hint of it at all. Hubby still smacked his lips as he finished the meal.

Fish Diablo n' Rice for 165php

If given the chance, would you go for a chili sandwich spread? PB Co. has an answer for those chili lovers - Chili Peanut Butter. Made from a sweet and spicy sauce and PB Co's Chili Peanut Butter, this dish has dory fish fillet, some potatoes and carrot chunks. It's really (oh so) spicy with a strong peanut butter taste! It's as if you're eating spicy kare-kare. A good thumbs-up once eaten, this one is a keeper.

Cherry 7Up

Here, they also have some soda fixes that you can choose from. They have the usual coke products (regular, light and zero), sprite, A&W (yes, the creamy soda thing too!), Barq's, Dr. Pepper and some not-so-common canned sodas in restos - Cherry 7Up, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Cherry Dr. Pepper and Welch's Grapes. Hubby was so delighted to see Cherry 7Up so this was his drink of choice.
