Went to Bonifacio High Street Central Square to catch Me Before You on it's first day of screening. While waiting for my friends, I checked looloo for food options and was happy to spot Happy Lemon. Their Matcha Bubble Waffle has been in my "must try" list for weeks now and have been hunting for a branch that offers it. Went to the Cinema area and looked for Happy Lemon to try my luck. I was so glad when I saw that this branch offers the HK Style Waffle. Immediately got one Matcha Bubble Waffle and decided on a Green Tea iced drink as my refreshment.

Ten minutes to prepare the Matcha Bubble Waffle - a little too long but that's okay since I know that they'll make it fresh out of the waffle maker.

When served, the Matcha Bubble Waffle was in a paper pouch and looked so soft and soggy. The paper pouch also had lots of oil blotches. It was still a little hot when served but after taking several shots, the temp became acceptable for munching!

I loved that the waffle was crispy outside but soft inside. It wasn't too sweet and had a good kick of Matcha. It was almost leaning to being bitter, but that's just me because I like to eat non-stop until I get satiated. Not bad at all! Even after a couple of minutes and it was no longer warm, the waffle retained it's crisp.

The drink I got was just okay. Large Pomelo and Grapefruit Green Tea - It's refreshing but too bitter for my liking. There was this strong and bitter pomelo after taste that I didn't like. It also came in with some coconut jellies. Maybe I should have chosen a different fruit mix.
They also offer their Bubble Waffles in two other flavors - Classic and Chocolate. I'm coming back to try the chocolate flavored one and maybe pair it with a Matcha drink!
