Mrs. Graham's - All About Macarons!

Written By clapalisoc on Thursday, 9 June 2016 | 13:08

I've been hearing a lot of buzz about Mrs. Graham’s and it's macaron selection but the location was far from home so I never had the chance to go and try their offers in a flash. Good thing looloo friends invited me to a food crawl in Tomas Morato and this was one of our stops.

Mrs. Graham's Cafe was just beside Eighteen Bistro so it was the perfect night ender - desserts! The place was small and packed when we went. In their counter, they had about 17 flavors of Macarons.

Macaron Flavors from Mrs Grahams

Some were common flavors like Salted Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Coffee, Cookie Dough,
Tiramisu, Bailey’s, S’Mores and Strawberry. Others flavors were playful like Tequila Rose, Buttered Popcorn, Cheetos and its Jalapeno version.

Then the unique flavors like Ensaymada, Churros, Bibingka with Salted Egg and Champorado!

I sampled three –--

Jalapeno Cheetos Macaron
Jalapeno Cheetos Macarons for 70Php each

Jalapeno Cheetos – this tasted like the real thing though it was on the sweeter side because of the macaron shells. The filling was thick and rich and was as spicy as the junk food. Loved that they were able to nail this! A play on flavors – sweet and salty at the same time with that spicy kick. It was even topped with Jalapeno Cheetos crumbs! Yum!

Salted Caramel was good too. It was sweet and had that burnt sugar flavor in it which I liked. The saltiness was just right and it broke the monotonous sweetness of this piece.

Champorado Macaron

Champorado was my favorite that night! It was sweet, chocolatey and it even had fish flakes on top! This added character to the macaron. Felt like eating champorado with dilis. Genius!

Lovely Macaron inspired lights and those pompoms!

The place was quite small with just a couple of tables and gets really cramped when packed. The decors were lovely! They're known for their colorful Macaron hangng lamps. Also loved that the place was so chic and looked like something that came from a dainty scrap book!

Definitely dropping by this place again when I get the chance to go to Tomas Morato. I’ll try more of their Macaron flavors and maybe get a slice of cake too.

5 out of 5 Stars for Mrs. Graham's!
