Jack's Loft - A Dessert Bar

Written By clapalisoc on Monday 9 April 2012 | 11:57

Jack's Loft has been in the gastro industry for quite some time now and I bet you've already heard of it at least, if in case you haven't tried it out. It's been a favorite date spot for me and my hubby, when we were still dating, due to the relaxed ambiance and oh so good food (and dessert!) it offers. The one in Eastwood City is actually more of a resto-bar with a very cozy feel coupled with just the right chill music that's perfect for a Friday/Saturday night date. Even after getting married, we would still frequent the place and a couple of times I've also brought friends to share the good experience.

Their menu is proud and they are notorious for their lovely desserts. So far, We've tried out the following.

Main Dish

Grilled Chicken Breast with Mashed Potato for 220php

Grilled chicken breasts sitting on a bed of mashed potato, garnered with cheese, mushroom sauce and a bit of onion rings with fresh tomatoes on the side. This one is the very first dish that I've tried out from Jack's Loft. It's our ultimate favorite (hubby doing a thumb's up).

Chicken Stir-Fry for 155php

Strips of yummy chicken, rice, veggies, nuts and Jack's Loft's special sauce that have been stir-fried the Mongolian way! A nice complete meal.

Beef Stir-Fry for 190php

Same as the Chicken Stir-Fry -- with the meat (obviously) replaced by tender beef strips.

HK Style Baked Pork Chop for 220php

My new found friend! Breaded pork chop sitting on top of a generous heaping of fried rice, topped with tomato sauce and cheese, and then baked to it's royal perfection! The combination of the tomato sauce with the cheese and the tender pork chop is something to go back to. A must try!

Shepherd's Pie for 168php

Alert -- potato overload ahead! This dish is made up of ground beef mixed with some vegetables and then married with a couple of spices and bedazzled with heaps of mashed potato! The spices used give the overall character of this dish -- flavorful and pointe blanc delicious!

Adobo Flakes on Rice for 148 php

Uberly tasty thin flakes of the Filipino favorite Adobo, fried to almost crispy finish and then served on top of garlic rice and sunny side-up egg. It also comes with Adobo sauce, just in case you want more of the flavor.

Pasta

Pesto Pasta with Grilled Chicken for (around) 190php

This dish is a favorite of hubby and would always look for one when we dine out. Here, creamy pesto sauce (with a strong pesto taste) was smothered over linguine pasta and then topped off with tender grilled chicken and Parmesan cheese.  A very good version of the oil-based pesto that we love!

Starters

Ooey Gooey Cheese Sticks for 175php

Cheese sticks are simply nice. There is something enticing from that gooey and sticky cheese oozing out of it's breading. Mozzarella cheese wrapped in a special breading and then fried to golden brown superiority that is served with Marinara sauce.

Jack's Cheese Fries for 150php

Bacon is love! Here, the ever staple starter French Fries is served with the right crispiness and topped with cheese sauce, sour cream and bacon bits! It even has gravy on the side, in case the toppings are not enough.

Onion Rings for 145php

Golden brown onion rings that have been coated with breading and served with garlic-mayo. Good munchies that keep you busy while waiting for the entrees.

Desserts

Of course, I will never ever pass the chance of trying out their desserts. And since they are a dessert bar, one should expect awesomeness in each and every sweet delight they offer and provide.

Hole-in-One for 148php

Sweet cinnamon bread logs that have been arranged to carry a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the center. How can you go wrong with Cinnamon and Vanilla ice cream?

"I Declair!!!" for 158php

This, for me, is the best-est of their desserts! Six-inches of chocolate eclair that has been stuffed with three scoops of vanilla ice cream, and then covered with whipped cream and drizzled with love of caramel and chocolate syrup, and finally finished off with nuts! Each spoon full is to remember!

Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake for 88php

Moist and rich fudge cake that is served warm and capped off with vanilla ice cream with chocolate drizzle, this dessert is utterly sinful!

Fish Bowl Iced Tea for about 110-130php

The biggest serving of iced tea ever! Good for sharing or for one thirsty buddy.

I can guarantee that the food and the desserts here are really really good. They have several branches around the metro (please see below) and if you get to pass by one, don't think twice -- go try! A word of caution though -- I've only tried their Rob Manila and Eastwood branches and the one in Eastwood does not offer excellent customer service.
