Asian Dolce Latte - Inspired by Asia, Created by Starbucks

It was a great afternoon with my little girl and as we make our way to BGC to finish some errands, we passed by Starbucks. The little girl asked for a Starbucks date using her innocent charm and that is something I can't resist!

This particular BGC branch, the first drive thru location, is a real stunner. The big space in never fails to impress. The long wooden table spread across the first floor area, high ceiling, second floor with couches, center tables and carpets resembling a cozy home living room, the Capiz windows and the elegant choice of fixtures all add up to the classy feel of this branch.

As we decide on what to order, Cherienne singled out the Oreo Cheesecake saying that's all that she wanted. On the other hand, I wanted to find out what the buzz was all about their new drink - Asian Dolce Latte. I got myself an iced version.

Iced Asian Dolce Latte
Served beautifully, more gorgeous than my go to iced guy Caramel Macchiato, the layering of silky smooth milk and fresh roast espresso with ice was enticing. I noticed that the whipped cream was colored and tasting it made me realize that it's also espresso infused! Taking a sip, it was sweet but smooth with the strong espresso end note to it. This drink may look prim and proper but will actually kick you awake! Holy cow good morning!

Oreo Cheesecake
Anyway, pairing it with some Oreo Cheesecake cancels out some of the sweetness. And that Oreo Cheesecake - fantastic as always!

But then again, IMO, Caramel Macchiato is still better than this. I guess I'm just a biased Caramel fan...
