Caffe Ti-Amo

I've seen a lot of good reviews about Caffe Ti-Amo but haven't really tried it. I guess I am a satisfied Caramia & Gellatissimo fan. Since we were in Greenbelt on Sunday and I know they have a store there, we decided to check the place and see what it has to offer.

Upon entering, the warm lighting and the artificial tree in the middle will greet you. The place felt so homey. It was one of those places where you can  drop by to relax a little after hours of shopping. It's also an ideal meet up and chill out place for friends - girl friends mostly.

After appreciating the space, we settled in. They have ports that you can freely use for charging and they have wifi too. As I approached the counter to check their Gelato selection, I didn't find anything enticing. I don't know if it was just me but their display did not look as drooling as Gellatissimo. Anyway, no matter how bad their Gelato were presented, as long as they taste good then, I have no problem. I got a regular cup with two flavors - Blueberry and Green Tea. To my surprise, they gave me Blueberry Cheesecake instead of just the plain blueberry. I was too tired to complain so I kept quiet thinking that it could be a better flavor.

The texture was a bit icy, not the creamy type that I have expected. The Blueberry Cheesecake did not taste like blueberry at all, let alone cheesecake. The green tea had a strong Matcha taste that was well complimented by the cream it was mixed with. In short, I didn't like their Gelato that much. I'm just biased when it comes to green tea.

guess next time I will stick to my go to Gelato shops instead. Though the setting of Caffe Ti-Amo was just what I wanted, cozy and warmly lit, the Gelato quality is not something I would rave about. Maybe in my next visit, I would try adding in a waffle and would take a chance on their coffee too.

The place tends to get packed and servers tend to get really busy. But they were still attentive and would, as much as they can, give you what you requested for in the shortest possible time. Great customer service indeed!
