8 Cuts Burger Blends

Written By clapalisoc on Thursday, 7 May 2015 | 13:27

Madrid Fusion Manila went by and I wasn't so lucky enough to experience it. Good thing there were restaurants that weekend offering dishes made especially in celebration of the biggest international culinary affair of the year. I guess it was a blessing in disguise that our second visit to Dean & Deluca (read about my first review here - 2nd review to follow) turned out really bad because fate had us running to Power Plant Mall to get some good grub. That was when we saw 8 Cuts Burger Blends and their Bruschetta Burger.

It was my first time in 8 Cuts and was totally amazed by the passion they put into burger making. First time to see a burger joint that gives it's customers so much freedom in customizing a burger. Sure they have burgers that are pre-made but then again you still have the option to modify and/or add a thing or two. So, how does it work?

CHOOSE YOUR BUN ---> CHOOSE YOUR TOPPINGS ---> WHAT'S YOUR BEEF?

If you want more, you can:

ADD MORE CHEESE ---> HOUSE MADE SAUCES ---> MORE TOPPINGS!!!

Still want more?

DOUBLE UP for an extra patty!

Intense.

Bruschetta Burger - 1/4 lbs. for 315Php

I got their Bruschetta Burger. Looked so good in the picture and looked equally good when served. House Blend patty of short rib and ribeye, it was topped with kesong puti, fried tomatoes, dried herring, cashew, pickled green mango, fresh basil leaves and their sauce number 3 all in toasted sesame buns. So gorgeous, it was so hard to eat it! Once I took a big bite, I was blown away! So much flavor, so much goodness, it's the BEST burger I've ever tried yet! Loved the salty and juicy burger patty, the crunch given off by the breaded kesong puti and the play of flavors. This burger packs a punch! Go ahead and try it while it's still available. Heard that it will only be offered until the 10th of May.

Four Cheese Burger - 1/4 lbs. for 255Php + 30Php for the Prosciutto

We also got their Four Cheese Burger, opted for Ox Tail burger patty which has flank, ox tail and ribeye in it. I also added some prosciutto because you know, you can never have enough meat! This burger was equally good. The burger patty was flavorful and juicy. The medley of cheeses - Parmesan, Yellow Cheddar, Gruyere and Mozzarella - oozed out of the burger. Gooey goodness!

Here are the other Beef options:

Onion Rings for 65Php

Then we also got their onion rings. Huge, crunchy and just so good! Even my 5 year old liked them!

Skinny Fries for 55Php + Truffled Shrooms & Bacon for 120Php

Just got a little disappointed with their fries. In my opinion, they were overpriced for such skinny potatoes. We added Truffled Shrooms and Bacon. Though the truffle oil made up for the thinly sliced fires, there wasn't enough bacon in it. Totally okay to skip next time.

Strawberry Milkshake for 150Php

My daughter also asked for a milk shake and we got the strawberry flavored one. Serving size was small but the milkshake was good - thick and creamy.

Dinner ended with smiles in our faces and I'm sure that our tummies were delighted too. Loved the fast service here and the attentive staff - never failed to respond to my never ending requests.

8 Cuts Burger Blends is currently THE BEST burger joint for me and would definitely go back for more!

5 out of 5 Starts for 8 Cuts!
