Another great lunch date with great friends!
As usual, a visit here will never be complete without an order of their all time best seller - Chicken Lettuce Wrap! I needed to have this more than ever due to the recent disappointment I got from CPK. Crisp and fresh iceberg lettuce filled with the delectable chicken mix, topped with their spicy sauce and then wrapped up nicely! One bite and I can't stop! I can eat this alone and not order anything else!
Strips of tender and well marinated Angus beef, tossed with thin strips of carrots and celery. It was a delicious treat! The beef strips were a bit crispy, but definitely tasty with just the right saltiness. The veggie combo gave the dish an overall light end note.
Chicken chunks and almonds stir fried with mushrooms, celery, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, onions and water chestnuts in a thick garlic soy sauce. I did not really fancy this dish but it was okay.
Shrimps in a thick and tasty lobster sauce with egg mixed in. The shrimps were succulent and sauce reminded me of "lomi' in a way. Maybe it's because of the traces of eggs in it. I liked this one too!
My favorite dessert here! Cream cheese and mango filled wonton wrappers that were deep fried and served with a luscious chocolate sauce. It's out of the ordinary but delicious!
A layer of mixed berries cheesecake on top of a classic one, this dessert was not too sweet and was really good. It's refreshing and without the cheesecake umay factor.
Since I have given up on IHOP, I've decided to put it out of my list for a while. I'll leave everything up to chance. For this lunch date, we opted to go to P.F. Chang's since my friend was curious about all the raves I've been making in my blog.

For our mains, we tried their Lunch Meals. Available from 11AM to 4PM, Monday to Friday, a selection of P.F. Chang's favorites are showcased in a complete meal with unlimited rice (white or brown) and a choice of drink (Coke products). Each serving is truly reasonable and generous, good enough for sharing! We ordered for the following --
Beef a la Sichuan for 410php |
Almond & Cashew Chicken for 395php

We also got ourselves some dessert. We originally wanted to try the Great Wall of Chocolate but it was, again, out of stock! We opted for the following instead---

Mixed Berries Cheesecake for 295php |
It sure was a great lunch except for the fact that the servers were not so attentive during that time of the day. I mean, there were very few people dining in but it was a little hard to get their attention plus they were not quick to action. It was my first time to experience such lame service in P.F. Chang's.
Anyway, the good food is still worth coming back to.
