It was a quiet Sunday when husband took us out for dinner. I didn't ask him nor paid attention to where he was taking us but as we turned to Pasong Tamo, I knew we were headed to Little Tokyo. I still can't believe that we haven't tried a single restaurant there.

Shinjuku was the destination. Loved the vibe of the resto - simple interiors, use of wood and the place was overall clean. They have an open counter where you'll see the staff prepare your sushi and sashimi.

We tried their Shoyu Ramen which was okay. The broth kinda lacked in flavor and wasn't as rich as Yushoken's. The Chasu were too thin and had some seasoning which I didn't like a lot. Then instead of Aji Tamago, we got a hard boiled egg! WHY?

Then we also got their Gyudon. This one I really liked! Tender sukiyaki beef with this thick and flavorful sauce that was sweet and salty at the same time. Loved the generous portion of meat on top of warm rice.

We also got their Tempura Tuna Sashimi and was my favorite of all! IT WAS SO GOOD! Almost melt in your mouth tuna sashimi goodness, no fishy smell or taste. Top it off with mayo x special spicy sauce x crispy tanuki! Really good stuff.

We also got their Guyabano and Mango Shake for our drinks.
Service was fast and servers were friendly. They've got a lot in their menu. I don't know but I have this thing about Japanese restaurants selling ramen and a whole lot more of other dishes. I just know that their Ramen would be so so. Or maybe I'm wrong and I just have to try another kind of ramen next time.
