Taho is more than just a childhood favorite for me. Even now, I always buy a cup whenever I see a Taho vendor. There was even this season when I would ask hubby to hunt for the Taho vendor, that comes once in a while into our village, and buy a big tumbler of Taho ALL FOR ME!! It's so simple but so yummy.
This summer, BONO, the BEST gelato store for me, brought back their Taho Gelato. The first time I tried this Taho Gelato years back, I instantly loved it! Being a seasonal flavor coming out only during the summer season, the more special it becomes.
For the entire month of April, the Taho Gelato is on promo - only 80Php per scoop! It will still be offered after April but it'll be sold at it's regular price of 150Php per scoop starting May 01. You only have a day!
Yesterday, I made sure to catch the promo before it's gone. I got a single scoop and after taking a snapshot, I dug in and ahhh... TASTES LIKE THE REAL THING! It's made up of soy milk, topped with sago and drizzled with coco syrup. Each spoonful was like having the real thing, only this was a cold version. The texture was a little icy, compared to the usual BONO gelato but that's okay because they used soy milk as the base and that could have made the difference? Eh?
Seriously, if you love taho, you gotta try this!
Another thumbs up creation from BONO! I just wish this could stay in their menu longer.
5 out of 5 Stars for BONO's Taho Gelato!
