Boutique Burger Kitchen - A New Burger Joint in BGC!

There's a new Burger Joint in BGC and we tried it on a Friday night.

Located in Fort Strip, replacing the used to be Draft, BBK or Boutique Burger Kitchen is easy to spot because of the huge and well lit signage outside of the store. Once you step in, you'll be greeted by light blue walls and a huge dining space with high ceiling.

I must admit, I was excited! BBK x foodfanaticph = YAY!

Owned by celebrity Chef Carlo Miguel, Head Chef of Epic Boracay, Draft and 71 Gramercy, BBK channels a 50s Diner's look. It's walls are filled with movie posters, vinyl records etc.

Trinkets and some other small details that make up the shelves of BBK

It has huge shelves with trinkets and displays combining vintage tokens, modern ones and stacks of books here and there. A slot machine will even welcome you as you enter the door!

Space for big groups or if you just want a more cozy lounging area.

Booths, tables for big groups and even a long counter with home-made ice cream display makes up the dining space.

Ice cream for milkshakes! They make their own ice cream, in small batches!

Burgers are the specialty in this place. Count the milkshakes too. Fries and onion rings, some starters, desserts and a lunch menu complete the soft-opening list. Beverages offered include Craft Sodas, craft, local and imported beer and then there's wine too.

Offering a total of 10 gourmet burgers, we tried the Bleu Cheeseburger and Bacon Cheeseburger. Got this together with their Fat Fries and a glass of Strawberry Lemon& Basil Craft Soda.

BBK Burgers!

Their burgers are cooked medium, unless you prefer otherwise. You have two options for the burger patty - Steak Style or Smashed! They cook their Steak Style patty in an actual grill to give it a signature smoky flavor while the Smashed burger patty is given a pan grilled treatment. We tried both - Steak Style for my Bleu Cheeseburger and Smashed for hubby's Bacon Cheeseburger.

Hokkaido Milk Bun with a hefty portion of all beef patty!

When the burgers were served, they looked awesome! Thick burger patty, juices oozing out and a great form from the burger bun. We noticed that the bun held all the burger components well. It was soft yet firm. I also liked how they toasted the bun giving the sides a nice toasted crunch. I must say that their Hokkaido Milk Buns deliver!

Now, more than just the bun, the meat should be the super star of any burger. BBK's burger patty did not disappoint! Juicy, flavorful and worth every calorie! Combining Angus and Wagyu, you will definitely taste the difference!

Blue Cheeseburger from BBK Gourmet Burger BGC
Bleu Cheeseburger for 320Php

For my burger, I liked that the Bleu Cheese was creamy and wasn't the overwhelming type. It still had that signature and highly addictive flavor but it was milder. The flavors of the burger patty were still evident and I think it helped that we asked for a Steak Style meat here since the smoky flavor helped the meat standout despite the Bleu Cheese. They also added balsamic onions cutting through the richness of the Bleu Cheese so it doesn't end up being cloying.

Hubby's order was delicious too! Their Classic Cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mustard, ketchup melted American Cheddar topped with thick slices of bacon - any bacon lover will enjoy this!!!

Fat Fries from Boutique Burger Kitchen
Fat Fries for 120Php

Their Fat Fries shouldn't be ignored. We were thinking of potato wedges here, just the usual. But we got more than that! The potato slices were coated with some kind of powder, firm and crisp. They have the right saltiness. What really stood out though was the homemade ketchup! It's nothing like your usual tomato ketchup! It's thick and delicious, perfect for the warm fries. I don't know how to describe it quite well but it has certain spices. We were guessing that there could be some steak sauce here.

Strawberry, Basil & Lemon Craft Soda from BBK Gourmet Burger BGC

We didn't try their milkshakes but we opted to try their Craft Soda. Using homemade syrups and infusions, their Strawberry, Lemon & Basil was one refreshing treat! There wasn't much of the strawberry flavor. It was mostly the lemon and the basil that stood out. Still, not bad at all.

Just look at these cute letters and trinkets at the back!

Overall, BBK offers GREAT BURGERS! Though the size of the burgers were smaller than I have expected for the price, both burgers we got were priced at 320Php, they make up for it with the quality ingredients used. Honestly, I can't wait to go back!

5 out of 5 Stars for Boutique Burger Kitchen!
