The new Ayala Mall, Ayala Malls the 30th, had been gaining popularity especially among the foodies because of the restaurants it houses. New food concepts, new restaurants that you can't find anywhere else that had foodies rushing to the place.

Toast Asian Kitchen and Tasting Room is one of these. With no other branches, Toast offers a mix of popular Asian cuisine with a twist.

Aside from that, they have an extensive bar list with all things alcohol - whisky, gin, rum, cognac, vodka, tequila, wine, cocktails and even craft beer.

We were warmly welcomed by their Marketing Head and had us try their best sellersas well as new dishes.

The restaurant was huge! Perfect venue for big groups. Mixing bricks, unfinished walls and wooden floor, the restaurant had lots of chandelier and couches! Loved the relaxed ambiance with an overall elegant charm.

Served with tomato laksa, each had a nice crunch from the breading but we weren't able to taste the Quesong Puti though there was a generous heaping of mashed potatoes inside.

Al dente linguini tossed with Toast's signature Tomato Laksa dipping sauce and a variety of seafood.

| Blacksa |
Blacksa is a new addition to their menu, officially launched March 06. This is your "negra" version of Laksa! This was a crowd favorite. Laksa without the usual strong curry flavor? It totally worked! They used squid ink to color it black and the bowl had a generous serving of squid meat as well as shrimps.

This was the group FAVORITE! Good for sharing, this platter had a tasty bed of salted egg fried rice topped with sinfully "succulent" and tender pork belly slices!

The pork belly slices were braised then seared and then tossed in honey garlic giving a nice sweet and salty contrast. It was also topped with strips of crispy wanton adding texture.

| Wagyu Cubes with Veggies |
Another new dish that's not in their menu yet, this was one of my favorites! Loved the tasty and juicy Wagyu Cubes and the sauce that was soy based, leaning to the sweeter side. They added some greens for fiber.

This was our least favorite. The salmon chunks were tasty and cooked right but the rice had a sauce that was a little too salty for our liking. There was too much taosi but no teriyaki flavor.

Perfectly grilled, I loved the Pork Belly and Wagyu Cubes the most! The sauce used for these sticks was tasty! Aside from these, we also tried the Chicken Wings Yakitori. It's easy to inhale 1-2 sticks so you better order more!

Makers Mark shaken with Pomegranate juice, Pandan syrup, mint leaves and lemon juice. There was too much mint leaves and honestly, that was all that I could taste!

Favorite cocktail! Bacardi White x Malibu x Pineapple Juice x Pineapple Juice x mint leaves x lime - it was light and refreshing and the presentation was just so fancy!

One of their best sellers, this one has Sailor Jerry shaken with Jack fruit, Apple and Lime juice, pandan syrup and egg white! Could have been better if there was more jack fruit for a stronger taste.

This was one spicy drink but really good! A mix of Jose Cuervo x Tripple Sec x Lemon & Lime Juice x Jalapeno. The mouth of the glass was lined with salt mixed with chili and Togarashi powder!
