Got the chance to go back to Manila Creamery months after my first visit. Thanks to foodsocietyph friends who went with me! Glad we decided to sop by Manila Creamery even though we were already full from non-stop food binge because I was able to spot new flavors!
First I tried their Mindanao Milk gelato and OMG it's LOVE! Rich milk flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. It's insane!
Then I tried their Mannga't Suman just because I missed this one and I must say that it hasn't changed a bit - still super good!
Double Scoop! |
I recommended Salted Egg Cheesecake with extra dose of the TDF salted egg syrup to my friend Jai and he happily got a scoop. You have yo try this flavor! It's highly recommended! See my detailed review HERE.
The other scoop that Jai tried was Ube Langka which was a winner too! The gelato had a Jackfruit base - so so reminiscent of my Grand Ma's sweetened jackfruit, and I absolutely loved it. Unlike most that would make Ube as the gelato/ice cream itself, Manila Creamery used Ube Pastillas chunks instead and added these to the Langka gelato. Not too sweet and not cloying at all!
Then my pick - Brazo de Leche Gelato Shake! Oh my! First time to try this and I fell in love right away! If you are a sweet tooth, this will be a hit. Imagine this - a thick and creamy Ricotta Orange Gelato blended with real Brazo de Mercedes, dulce de leche and ginger which was a brilliant addition because it helped in making the shake less cloying. The cup was then swirled with more Dulce De Leche and the entire thing was topped with torched cashew, Pandan whipped cream and a slice of Brazo de Mercedes! My gosh!
Just look at all that dulce de leche swirl! Photo c/o Manila Creamery |
This calorie packed Gelato Shake was beyond delicious! It's super! The layers of flavors went well together! It helped that the gelato used was Ricotta Orange because the subtle citrusy kick cuts through all the sweetness too. Highly recommended!
Matcha Taho Gelato Shake |
Another friend of mine, Ruth, tried their Matcha Taho Gelato Shake and it was still the same yumminess as the first time I tried it.
PSA: if you like waffle cones, you can get extra for only 10Php. Their cones are like barquillos and are also thick!
And just a little teaser for South people like me, they are going to open a SOUTH BRANCH SOON!!! ATC, pretty please?!?
5 out of 5 Stars for Manila Creamery!
