FRIDAY marks the end of the promo of IHOP for their Buttermilk Pancakes! As a kicker to their 3rd anniversary in Manila, they're offering their Buttermilk Pancakes for only 25Php each! YES, you heard that right, ONLY 25Php per piece!
We took advantage of this promo yesterday after the very early mass in my daughter's school. We drove around BGC to find a good breakfast spot then we passed by IHOP and I remembered looloo's ad about their 25Php Buttermilk Pancakes. I told hubby about it and he was up for it. I never really blogged about IHOP because there's always something wrong with either their food or service whenever we visit. So this will be the first even though I was one of those who lined up and waited for hours to get a table when IHOP opened in 2013.
Anyhow, we got 2 orders of Stack of 4. You can get them in stack of 2 or 4 btw. Then I got their bottomless coffee which is something I like even before.
The pancakes arrived right away - we waited just about 5 minutes. The servers were really attentive and friendly, even gave my youngest a paper and crayons to keep her busy. They also gave her a plastic cup for water.
Warm stack of Buttermilk pancakes that smelled so good. I was so excited since I haven't really had just plain Buttermilk Pancakes from IHOP in a while and I can't recall how their syrups taste like anymore. I always go for New York Cheesecake or the one with Nutella, Bananas and Strawberries. Hubby smothered his stack with Old Fashioned Syrup which was really sweet - just like how pancake syrup should be. He enjoyed each bite and realized that most times we fail to enjoy simple things coz we always go for the complicated ones thinking they're always better. But no. We didn't order anything else and so we got to appreciate these pancakes.
I tried all of the syrups and noticed that there were only 4 when there used to be 5 - Blueberry, Strawberry, Butter Pecan, Old Fashioned and Coconut. They no longer carry the coconut syrup. Anyhow - I liked the Butter Pecan and Blueberry the most. Loved how the Buttermilk Pancakes were warm and soft and fluffy and moist. I also liked them smothered with lots of butter! They served as really good canvass for the sweet syrups and went really well with their brewed coffee.
Overall, service was good. I asked for extra butter and it was given right away. I even asked for extra Blueberry syrup for my take out and the manager obliged right away!
Hurry, get these breakfast buddies before they're gone! 200Php for 8 pieces of Buttermilk Pancakes is not bad at all!
4 out of 5 Stars for IHOP!
