Aside from the calorie packed meals offered by this food court, they also have this stall that offers everything fresh and healthy! It was my choice for dinner on a weekend - Garde Manger!

Salad options! |
Feeling healthy, I pushed for a bowl of salad for dinner with nothing but a glass of water as my drink. Since I've heard a lot of buzz about Garde Manger, I opted to give it a shot.

I tried their Korean Octopus Salad.

Korean Octopus Salad for 285Php |
The serving was filling but I wish there was something more in it to give it some other texture. I got tired munching and munching! The bowl had a crunchy mix of crisp lettuce and red cabbage chopped into strips, carrots, bean sprouts, black and white sesame seeds and spring onions. They also added some orzo, which is a soft pasta that looks like rice grains but bigger, which absorbed the Korean dressing Gochujang.

A closer look at the ingredients of this healthy bowl! |
The dressing was a little spicy but it was savory and had bold flavors. It went really well with the tender chunks of octopus. A drizzle of fresh lemon made this salad bowl more interesting. The citrus kick added a lighter note to the rather heavy dressing.
Quite interested to try their fresh juices and their Sisig Salad next time.
4 out of 5 Stars for Garde Manger!
