Mr. Park's Bread & Cake - Open 24/7 for your Late Night Cravings and Internet Needs!

Mr. Park's has been in BF for the longest time and they’re open 24/7. They offer bread, cakes, pastries and some mains. My friend has been going to the Ortigas branch and she has been raving about the place. Open 24/7, fast wifi and the place was nice according to her. I gave it a try one time, while working on a project.

Got there around 10PM and the place was barely full. When you buy anything, your receipt will have the wifi password. The place was pretty big with bread display in the middle, towards the counter. They also have a lot of cakes and cheesecakes, sandwiches and even cream puffs. They also offer coffee, frappes, smoothies and some Korean drinks. Not only that, they also have a pretty good menu of dishes if you came in hungry.

Garlic and Cheese Naan from Mr. Park's Bread & Cake

I got a Garlic and Cheese Naan and it was meh. Instead of being Naan in consistency, it was more like a bread. The garlic kick was strong and looked like there was ample cheese but because it was thick, more cheese would make it better.

Garlic Bacon Sandwich from Mr. Park's Bread & Cake

Then I got a Bacon Sandwich which was a good buy. It had generous serving of bacon with some fresh cucumber and crisp greens. Loved the right amount of mayo and the way it was toasted gave the bread a nice crisp surface.

Pizza Tortilla from Mr. Park's Bread & Cake

Pizza Tortilla was something that my friend recommended. She bought it and I tried it lol The tortilla had the right thickness and was chewy. It had some meat pieces enveloped inside, a little tomato kick and cheese. It was good. Tasted liked pizza indeed!

Iced Matcha Latte from Mr. Park's Bread & Cake

The Matcha lover in me took over and I got an iced Matcha Latte. Though I was hesitant, I tried it anyway. It was meh. Too much sweetness and too much milk. The Matcha kick was very very subtle.

Their coffee was okay. Not great but okay. I tried their latte and it had more milk than I wanted too but there was a strong coffee kick.

I also got a whole cake c/o my friends for my birthday and I must admit that it looked pretty. I've bought a cake from Mr. Park's in BF Homes before and it didn't deliver so I wasn't expecting much from this too. But then again, a cake is still a cake so I gave it a shot.

Cheesecake from Mr. Park's Bread & Cake
A look at the whole cake!

From the looks of it, I know that it's a cheesecake. Took a slice and tried it and it was a cheesecake indeed! It's not your usual NY Cheesecake. It's more like a Japanese Cheesecake. It's light and soft and had just hints of tartness. It wasn't sweet at all. Instead of a thin base made up of graham or oreo, which is usual for cheesecakes, half of the entire height of the cheesecake was made up of a moist chiffon-like cake. It also had hints of cream cheese in it but in a very light way. It had the texture of a "mamon." The entire thing also had this thin layer of clear gelatin on top.

It was good. I also liked that it wasn't dry and had that creamy smooth texture. It's also a little easy to get carried away, one slice after another, because it's not cloying at all. But then again for the price, I wouldn't really buy this because I can get a better one elsewhere.

Loved the ambiance of this place. Lots of tables and cushioned chairs and lots of charging ports. The place was well lit and was super clean! Even the bathroom was clean! Store temperature was just right, not too cold like in other cafes. Wifi was also fast and stable so if you need to work on something, can't focus at home and you're a nocturnal person, this place is definitely for you.

4 Stars for the Ambiance BUT only 3 Stars for the Food!
